Review of the European Coatings Show 2025 – a first-hand experience of digitalisation

Published

After three intensive and inspiring days at the exhibition, we look back on the European Coatings Show 2025 in Nuremberg – the event that presents the latest trends and developments in the paint and coatings industry.

An exciting on-site experience

From 25 to 27 March 2025, the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre opened its doors and invited trade visitors from all over the world to discover the latest technologies and trends in the industry. Together with our partner dibac Software GmbH, we had the pleasure of presenting our groundbreaking software solutions bsone and dibac.erp³ at booth 4A-104 (hall 4A). The trade fair provided us with a platform for direct exchange with industry experts and for demonstrating the added value of our digital solutions in a practical way.

Workflow/process meets production: the cocktail dispensing system

A real highlight of our appearance at the exhibition was our self-developed cocktail dosing system. This illustrative production model not only makes complex processes in the production of paints and varnishes tangible, but also brings them to life – and in an entertaining yet technically sophisticated way:

  • Live demonstration of production control: With bsone as the Manufacturing Execution System (MES), we were able to show in real time how production processes are controlled, monitored and optimised. From automated material planning to precise control of the production lines – everything was vividly demonstrated in action.
  • Integration and networking: The cocktail dosing system demonstrated the direct connection of scales and machines. This made it clear how crucial seamless integration of all system components is for optimising production processes.
  • Practical application: In addition to production control and monitoring, the sophisticated warehouse management system was also presented live with bsone. The advanced monitoring of stocks and the integration of processes such as batch consolidation and tank replacement met with a very positive response.

Experience synergies

Our two solutions – bsone and dibac.erp³ – were the focus of our trade fair presentation and showed how digital processes can sustainably change the entire value chain in the paint and coatings industry:

  • bsone: Our MES controls production in real time, automates material planning and enables comprehensive reporting. This gives companies a perfect overview of production progress and machine status at all times.
  • dibac.erp³: The ERP solution from dibac Software GmbH integrates all business processes – from raw material procurement to delivery of the end product. The combination of both systems creates a consistent digital infrastructure that guarantees efficiency and transparency throughout the entire production process.

Enthusiasm and intensive exchange

Visitors to our stand showed great interest in the interactive presentation and the associated possibilities for advancing digitalisation in manufacturing. In numerous discussions with industry colleagues and experts, it became clear that digital solutions such as bsone and dibac.erp³ make a significant contribution to increasing the efficiency of production processes. The feedback was consistently positive – from the precise dosing in the cocktail dosing system to the intelligent integration of business processes.

Conclusion and outlook

The European Coatings Show 2025 has once again shown that with our bsone and dibac.erp³ solutions, we are ideally positioned to support companies on their way to smart, networked production. We would like to thank all our visitors and partners for the stimulating discussions and the trust they have placed in us.

Even though the trade fair is now over, the dialogue will continue – and we look forward to working with you to further advance the digital transformation.
